Thank you for your interest in the Interpreter Certification Program.
Candidates are eligible to attend the Weight Lifting for Court Interpreters Skill Buidling workshop after they have completed the Initital registration and Language Screening OPI, completed the Self-Guided Orientation and passed the Written Exam.
Weight Lifting Skill Building Workshop
The Weight Lifting for Court Interpreters is a 2 day live virtual workshop designed to provide skill-building and include a mock examination including the three modes of interpreteration (simultaneous, consecutive, and sight). The fee for this workshop is $200 and candidates must register with the Interpreter Certification Program.

Oral Examination
Prerequisites for the Oral Examinations are to attend the Skill Building Workshop.

ASL Foundations of Court Interpreting
This foundational course provides a comprehensive overview of the U.S. legal system as it applies to American Sign Language (ASL) court interpreting. Designed for practicing and aspiring ASL legal interpreters, the course focuses on the unique roles, responsibilities, and protocols required in courtroom settings.
