Judicial Education
Designed to address new and emerging areas of law, the Judicial Education Department provides continuing education to more than 1,000 elected jurists through teaching programs, conferences and specially designed symposia. The department develops programs for the annual Appellate Courts Conference, which serves members of the Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts; the semi-annual meetings of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges, which serve members of the Common Pleas Courts; and special symposia held throughout the Commonwealth to give jurists the opportunity for in-depth examination of specific areas of law in small, intensive groups. Judicial Education is supported by the Judicial Services Department, which helps plan, coordinate, administer and staff an extensive schedule of educational conferences, seminars and meetings for Pennsylvania's Judicial System.
