York County Wellness Courts Hold Graduation Ceremony

On Tues., Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m., President Judge Maria Musti-Cook will oversee the joint ceremony celebrating the graduation of 16 participants from York County Wellness Courts at the Strand Capital, 50 North George Street.

The ceremony will celebrate participants’ successful completion of all four wellness courts:

  • 57th DUI Wellness Court (3 graduates)
  • 45th Veteran’s Wellness Court (1 graduate)
  • 93rd Drug Wellness Court (9 graduates)
  • 64th Mental Health Wellness Court (3 graduates)

“We are extremely proud of our graduates and their remarkable achievements,” said Holly Wise, deputy director of the York County Wellness Courts.  “They have each proven that with determination, perseverance and commitment, meaningful change is always possible.

“This graduation also highlights the dedication of our exceptional Wellness Court teams, whose support and guidance have been instrumental in every step of our participants’ journey.”

There are currently more than 130 treatment court programs in Pennsylvania – including Veterans Courts, Mental Health Courts, Adult Drug Courts, Family Drug Courts, DUI Courts, Re-Entry Drug Court, Juvenile Drug Courts, and Adult Drug/DUI Hybrid Courts. The purpose of these treatment courts is to reduce recidivism and help individuals return to their jobs and families and become productive citizens.
