Description

This position is responsible for managing all AV system software and hardware for fully integrated and non-integrated rooms at AOPC and Supreme Court locations. Responsibilities also include designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the video conference capabilities of the AOPC and Supreme Court. This includes application installations and support, hardware infrastructure and endpoints, as well as custom software configuration for various groups. The position will manage specialized applications, such as WebEx and AV room management software.

Primary Duties

  • Designs, installs, configures and maintains a broad range of AV/VC system software and hardware for all AV systems within all AOPC locations, including but not limited to WebEx Boards/Room Kits, VC codecs, and AMX control systems. Assists end users and other support staff with AV hardware and software questions and problems.
  • Works jointly and cohesively with AOPC technical support teams, Department of General Services building maintenance staff, Capitol Police, and occupants of the PJC to ensure design changes or updates benefit all groups.
  • Designs appropriate separation and security between courtroom AV and PJC AV including development of procedures to ensure privacy and separation as required while coordinating with other PJC entities.
  • Oversees all AV broadcasts into, out of, and within AOPC locations. Ensures no inappropriate broadcast or signal is transmitted to improper areas inside and outside of AOPC offices.
  • Fully administers and supports the PACourts WebEx hosted service and on-premises infrastructure by maintaining user accounts, training new users, and keeping up-to-date on the capabilities of WebEx.
  • Is responsible for the design of AV needs for court staff and visitors attending meetings at AOPC locations. Interfaces with event coordinators to determine best possible AV configuration for events.
  • Travels to various court locations throughout the state to act as the court’s AV liaison to technical staff at the presentation location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in any information technology field; AND
  • Two years of experience in technical audiovisual work in a conferencing environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.

Additional Requirements/Preferences

  • Associate’s degree in Recording Engineering preferred.
  • AV experience in a government, education, or convention center setting preferred.
  • Occasional overnight, state-wide travel required; valid driver’s license required.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check required.
